Power performance and fuel economy are two important evaluation index of commercial vehicles, and take the matching of powertrain system of TY4250 tractor as core, we put forward the comprehensive evaluation index of TY4250, and establish its mathematical model and structural model by the use of AVL-Cruise. At last, a contrast is made between the simulations and experimental results which appear to be coincident. Based on this, we first establish a matching framework, and then make an evaluation analysis of powertrain system matching, in the end parameter optimization is done based the parameters from powertrain system simulation. Specific content is as follows:1) We discuss and analyze the existing evaluation system of vehicle power performance and fuel economy, and put forward a comprehensive evaluation system for the vehicle power performance and fuel economy.2) We establish the mathematical model of entire vehicle performance. In order to make matching research of entire vehicle performance effectively, a simulation model is build according to the given data of TY4250 tractor, which includes the external characteristic and the mapping characteristics of the engine and the mathematical model of the power performance,fuel economical performance of the tractor. And a simulation program is written using the ISIGHT software and MATLAB software.3) Then we build the matching model of power performance of TY4250 tractor by the use of AVL -Cruise software. And the reliability of the tractor models set in AVL-Cruise is verified by the contrast between simulations and experimental results. Based on this, we also establish a matching framework of combination vehicle, then evaluate and analyzed the simulation result. And parameter sensitivity analysis is done with the main structure parameters of vehicles, including total mass, rolling resistance coefficient, air resistance coefficient and the transmission efficiency.4) Take the drive power loss and automotive six-cycle-work fuel consumption as target to evaluate the power performance and fuel economy, we make the double target objective function of weighted synthesis as comprehensive objective function. And using ISIGHT, AVL-Cruise software and MATLAB software is integrated into ISIGHT operation environment which is used as the basic software platform. By the use of the optimization strategy in which the design of experiments (DOE) is combined with optimizing, the comprehensive target function is optimized which achieve the goal of optimization matching of the powertrain system. The results show that the optimization theory and matching strategy discoursed in this paper is effective, and which can be applied to the future development of the vehicle.
