In recent years, concrete pumping machine has been developing rapidly with the requirements of national infrastructures. Because of its operations in high speed and continuous high load, malfunction causes damage to the equipment, seriously affecting economic development and social stability. But the traditional detection technology often applies cable to be a connection between measuring sensor and signal acquisition device. It is very hard to achieve ideal effect for this method because pump truck arm is very long and has frequent actions, which limits the real-time monitoring. This article, based on the above requirements, illustrates the method of wireless acquisition and transmission of multiple measuring points information by applying wireless sensor network technology.Wireless sensor network (WSN) has been attracting international attention on the research field. It is a combination of the sensor, embedded computing, Internet and wireless communication and distributed management information technologies. It can acquire and monitor the information of various environments and the objects through the coorperation of kinds of integrated miniature sensors in time. The information is sent through WSN, and transferred to the user terminals in the way of multi-hop ad hoc network. This kind of technology makes it possible to monitor the pumps structure.This paper introduces the concept of wireless sensor network and system structure, and constructs condition monitoring system for the purpose of monitoring frame structure. According to the pump truck frame monitoring requirements, vibration monitoring and strain monitoring nodes are designed regarding CC2430 as the core components. Energy saving requirements is taken into consideration in the design, low-power device is chosen with the monitoring meeting the premise performance. The software is designed on the basis of hardware design. Research has been carried on continuous sampling, resolution, serial communication of ADC. Then experiment on sine signals has been collected and transported actually.At the same time, through the analysis of the characteristics of wireless sensor network, it discusses the problems influencing the design of MAC protocols. It mainly discusses the performance and characteristic of MAC protocols based on competition and the time multiplex. On the basis of comparison and analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing MAC protocol, this paper puts forward an adaptive wireless sensor network media access control protocol through the analysis of the relationship between the node dormancy and network performance.
