Disease Analysis Of Old Damage Road Stone Arch Bridge And Study On Its Reinforcement

Existing bridges in China ,the stone arch bridges always rank the top row whether in terms of absolute numbers or in proportion ,and most of them have been used for many years with lack of capacity ,especially in economically underdeveloped western region. How to repair and reinforce stone arch bridges to improve their capacity to meet the social and economic development have become an urgent task .In this context, this paper made the following studies:By the investigation the station of running of dilapidated road arch bridges in the region of Chongqing ,and in the base of collecting the information on arch bridge disease diagnosis ,this paper summarize the common diseases of stone arch bridges , and analysis the disease reasons from the deck department and bridge superstructure to substructure. And to the specimen Zhipigou bridge , analysis its disease ,assess its carrying capacity and safety ,and these will be important information for the design of strengthening and improving the damage bridge.Summarizes the commonly used method of repairing and strengthening stone arch bridge .From the bridge superstructure to lower structure ,the reinforcement and construction methods are presented on the base of analysising the theory of strengthening. Since each reinforcement has a certain scope and the structures of road bridge have various forms ,with a wide range of diseases , so it is important to combining the specific circumstances of the bridge and using flexible the reinforcement methods. This paper takes the Zhipigou bridge for specific object ,supposes a specific strengthening methods that main arch reinforced with concrete composite technology .And this technology reinforcement has a certain practical value for the same type stone arch bridge .
