These years, with the environment and energy crisis getting more and more severe, the traditional engine technology faces the unprecedented challenge. Clean combustion technology and renewable energy become imperative. Due to the confine of the battery technology, PEV now can't replace the traditional internal combustion engines cars completely. So, as a conceivable method for now-HEV technology become the hit. I believe that a new energy automobile industry which would let the Chinese car industry tower apart from the world automobile industry will be around the corner.The paper is based on the hybrid electric city bus of Dongfeng Yangtse Corporation. The Optimization of the energy management of parallel hybrid electric bus concentrates on the control strategy, battery management system, motor-clutch integration, electric power driven system, engine management, and other sub-system of WG6120PHEV bus.WG6120 PHEV parallel hybrid electric bus works on the excellent controlling system. The energy management is one of the key technologies in the development of the WG6120 and it is also the most critical technology of the WG6120PHEV hybrid electric system. The development of WG6120PHEV hybrid electric bus energy management lies not only in the ECU, the hardware, the math model, the algorithm, the software but also in the executive parts and manufacture.The paper mainly analyzes the control strategy of WG6120PHEV parallel hybrid electric bus and battery management and elaborates the EV-used motor-driven auto-shift power system. The characteristic of the system is that the integration design of motor and clutch, the high and swift precision of the motor adjustment and the air operated clutch. The system characterizes in the simplicity of its mechanism, the precision of controlling, the swift responding and the smoothness of shifting.
