The measuring of time interval is used in infrared light screen target, projectile's flying speed is converted by the time interval of the projectile passes through different light screen and the distance between the two light screen. Tracer bullet is a special bullet which is widely used. A wrong trigger signal may be caught or the trigger signal can't be caught by the reason of the tracer interference of the tail of the tracer bullet. The test accuracy and sensitivity are not satisfied, as a result, this problem of the tracer must be solved now. The structure and principle of the infrared light screen target are introduced in this paper, and a feasible program of tracer bullet speed measurement system is researched. The paper mainly designs feasible scheme, fulfills circuit part of system and analyzes factors affecting precision and sensitivity of system.The principle of speed measurement of the infrared light screen target is summarized and the flight characteristic of tracer bullet is analyzed in this paper. Firstly the signal sampling and processing circuit of the system of speed measurement is completed. In particular, it includes infrared LED array circuit, receiving array circuit, low noise amplifier, trigger circuit and resisting disturbance circuit. By the analysis of the target signal of tracer bullet, different ways of triggering for different caliber of the tracer bullet target signal are adopted. The target signal of tracer bullet can be caught accurately. Resisting disturbance circuit for the disturbance of the test of tracer bullet is adopted. Secondly anti-interference measure in the part of structure is increased, for reducing the interference when the light screen is passed by tracer bullet. Lastly, test datum are processed and test error for every part of circuit is analyzed for that circuit performance becomes better.Results in application demonstrate that velocity system is satisfied with system request with reliable and accurate the metrical result, and tracer bullet and many kinds of other projectiles can be measured.
