With the continuous improvement of electronic and optical technology, light screenvelocity measurement technology is also in constantly developing. Light screen targetvelocimetry with its advantages of high precision, convenient operation, good repeatabilityand strong anti-interference ability, has gradually replace the traditional method of coil targetvelocimetry, and become the main method of projectile velocity measurement. But mostdomestic light screen exist problems, such as the target surface area is small anddiscontinuous, structure is complicated, hard to install and regulate, difficult to carry.Therefore, it is necessary to improve the system.Based on the analysis of the development of the international and domestic light screenvelocity measuring technology, according to the system design requirements, the paperproposes a design scheme of dual-light screen velocity measurement system which based onthe light screen sensor. Aiming at the problem of the light screen transmitter and receiver hardto align one by one, the light screen sensor is chosen as the optical module. According to thestructure characteristics of light screen sensor, an installation target frame is designed. In thehardware design, each circuit module is elaborated. For there exists the D-value between thesensor nominal output and the actual output, an I/V signal conversion circuit which can adjustthe zero value was designed. The system software design was completed from the aspects ofcontrol logic design and PC software programming. The control logic design mainlycompletes the functions of A/D conversion, FIFO design, data access, while the data access isthe key point. In the design of A/D conversion module, the bullet-bottom trigger was realizedthrough the software. The PC software completes the analysis and processing of data, such asdata separation, plot data curves and display data in text, etc.Finally, board and system performance of the dual-light screen velocity measuring system designed in this paper is tested. The test results show that the system is less affected bythe environment, and can meet the measurement requirements.
