The vehicle energy management control strategy play a decisive role in the normal operation, safety and reliability of pure electric vehicle. High efficient and optimized system control logics will provide a better EV performance. Therefore, vehicle control strategy and controller are required in accordance with the control characteristics of pure electric vehicle.This article introduces the structure of electric vehicle power train system, and chooses the appropriate components in according to the performance requirements. With the use of CRUISE software, the vehicle dynamics model is set up and the dynamics performance is simulated at the same time. This simulation verifies the correctness of component selection.According the characteristics of electric vehicle and other factors, this article presents power battery and vehicle energy management strategies. Based on driver operation, vehicle conditions and different drive mode, the corresponding control strategy and control flow chart are designed to ensure the stability and safety of vehicle operation. Meanwhile, regenerative brake strategy is studied and simulated with purpose of increasing energy and improving the drive range of vehicle.The vehicle controller is designed with MC9S08DZ60 single-chip microcomputer system. Some requirements are archived with the modules of single chip. Meanwhile, signal acquisition and conversion circuit of controller is designed. Through the software and hardware design, vehicle control functions are realized.In summary, This article uses electric vehicle control system as studying object and then proposes a design program about electric vehicle control strategy and controller. This design program provides a theoretical basis for vehicle control of EV and has a certain role in guiding for the design and optimization of EV.
