With automobile population being on the increase, the parking difficulty has been the general problem in the city traffic. The contravention of vehicle parking between supply and demand becomes more and more conspicuous and serious in some major cities of China during these years, while Parking Guidance information System(PGIS)offer an effective solution to solve this issue.From analyzing city parking guidance system function and the utilization ratio of parking facility, combing with the condition of the fact city traffic, with PGIS technology, this paper proposes the whole, real-time dynamic parking guidance system. Firstly this paper introduces the status of parking management in domestic and application of parking guidance system, elaborate the future development and research of practical significance; Secondly discussing the city parking planning and Parking survey and forecast, improving the parking space code was based on TRIPS and using phone to pay their parking fees; Thirdly use the SY-VD300B wireless vehicle detector as collector and issue guidance information by GPRS wireless network, including four grades guidance strategy; Lastly consulting and evaluating the Xiamen City parking guidance.Xiamen City, Zhongshan road had used this system program, it show that this system not only can facilitate the motorists to find parking quickly,solve the parking problems, improve the utilization of parking spaces, but also reduce the management costs.
