At present,China’s economy is developing rapidly and people’s living standard isimproving continuously, the number of people taking a taxi is increasing, the passenger taxidifficult, while taxi frequently in an empty run situation. How to solve the contradiction ofpassenger taxi difficult and the higher taxi empty run rate has become the focus of currentresearch.This paper analyzes the current taxi dispatching system. The current system hasproblems such as dispatching telephone busy, need additional cost, the driver and passengersto break a promise easily and not realized optimal dispatch, so the dispatching rate is low, and,passengers and drivers lose faith with each other. In this paper, a taxi dispatch system basedon wireless communication technology has been proposed, which increases Radio FrequencyIdentification (RFID) reader, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) gateway modules andscheduling management center on the basis of original stop dispatching system. The RFIDreader is used for perceive a taxi passenger demand, packet radio service technology gatewaymodule is used for uploading scheduling result information to the monitoring center anddispatch management center management software is used to receive and store schedulinginformation. The ZigBee network is used to realize direct interaction between drivers andpassengers.This paper mainly designs the hardware and software of taxi lower computer schedulingsystem, Scheduling information upload module hardware and software, and, PC schedulingmonitoring center software. The lower machine scheduling system is constitute by the ZigBeewireless communication network closely, The network coordinator is stop booking subsystemwireless communication module JN5139in the network, the network routing node is eachsignal relay equipment, Vehicle response subsystem wireless communication module JN5139ZigBee network as ZigBee network is constitute by network terminal equipment. in order toreceive and manage the GPRS data, C++Buider is used for network programming based onthe upper monitoring center and SIM300module is used as scheduling information uploadmodule. The taxi dispatching system is tested by the hardware model in the laboratory testplatform. The test result shows that the system can achieve dispatch taxi which is nearly to thestop distributed in the city’s reservation points, optimal dispatching and dispatch managementcenter can achieve storage and query history of the scheduling results.
