The asphalt pavement constructed in early China is entering into maintenance period, which produces a large amount of reclaimed asphalt pavement. The technology of asphalt pavement cold recycling, which can reuse the old asphalt mixture, raise resource utilization ratio and protect ecological environment, accords with the strategic policy of developing recycle economy and realizing sustainable development in China. So it has important practical significance for the study of the cold recycling technology.Based on survey, testing, analysis and evaluation on Xihu and Tonghuang expressway in Shanxi Province,this paper makes scheme design of overhaul,and proposes pavement structural combination and thickness of the cold recycling base sections with foamed asphalt and emulsified asphalt.Study the mix design process of foamed bitumen asphalt and emulsified asphalt mixture.Then differences in mix design process between foamed bitumen mixture and emulsified asphalt mixture are pointed out.Based on the experimental road, the paper analyzes construction technologies on in-plant cold recycling with foamed asphalt and emulsified asphalt, proposes construction quality control and quality acceptance standards to conditions of Shanxi, and then evaluates the economic benefits of this road.The result shows that the cold recycling mixture has superior structural bearing capacity and pavement performance, which makes it can be used in lower layer or base of road. The cold recycling technology of emulsified asphalt and foamed asphalt used in maintenance or reconstruction engineering for asphalt pavement in China can produce remarkable economic benefits, environmental benefits and social benefits.
