Asphalt pavement structure is directly exposed to natural environmental conditions. It endures the influences of climatic factors, and has unstable heat transfer. It has been known that the temperature profiles in asphalt pavement have a great effect upon the bearing capacity and performance of pavement structure by a number of engineering experiences. It will have great theoretical and practical significant to predict exactly the temperature profiles in asphalt pavement structure and apply it in the engineering projects. However, in fact, there are orgy limited considerations of temperature profiles in asphalt pavement structure in Chime asphalt pavement design system, while temperature profile is rarely considered in mechanical analysis of asphalt pavement and is almost neglected in engineering projects. In sum, temperature profile in asphalt pavement structure has become a very important encumbrance in asphalt pavement engineering.This paper studies pavement temperature field, establishes the relation between environment factors and pavement structure temperature, predicts the distribution of pavement temperature. The pavement temperature data of the Shandong Perpetual pavement test roads in Binzhou city were collected. Based on analysis of the measured data, the regularity of pavement temperature of high temperature term and low temperature term are established. The relationship between extreme air temperature and pavement temperature is determined. The prediction model of pavement temperature, which can be used in the study on high temperature stability of pavement is put forward. Temperature database was constructed and the SHRP and Superpave temperature predict models were verified. Meanwhile, Based on the collected climate data, local CMS data model for MEPDG was build, which will provide temperature input parameters for MEPDG used in China. The research help to guide pavement temperature sensors installed, data collection and analysis and had significance for pavement temperature prediction and pavement design and analysis.
