With the rapid growth of urban transport demand, increasing traffic congestion has become a common problem of many cities, and the current public transport in many cities in terms of both quantity and quality can not satisfy the public demand for travel. Currently, China's large cities have been basically built or started building rail transit system,to form the public transport development strategy,which will intergrate the rail transit as the backbone,and conventional public transit as the main public transport.The development of public transport system competitiveness,depends on the rational convergence and coordinated development of rail transit system and conventional public transit.Firstly, the theory and practice of existing urban rail transit and conventional public transit transport co-ordination are summarized in this thesis.Secondly, technical and economic characteristics, function of urban rail transit and conventional public transit have been analyzed and compared and basic principles of adjustment have been expounded; establish evaluating index system and analysis quantitatively the coordination level of existing urban rail transit and conventional public transit with the grey clustering comprehensive evaluation;the objectives, principles and methods of conventional public transit site adjustment have been discussed;the conventional public transit O-D matrix affected by the rail traffic has been modified,and the result is the basis of the site and route network adjustment; the objective functions of conventional public transit netwok have been researched,and the model of minimuming conventional public transit travel time and maximuming conventional public transit operating revenue has been established;Thirdly,for Dalian urban 3 rail line and conventional public transit as an example, evaluate its coordination and give suggestion for adjustment of conventional public transit site and network.
