In order to study the rutting deformation,the author use Finite Element Analysis to simulate the rutting depth, and take pavement rut research into the theoretical point of view,and also saves a lot of manpower and resources.Using the ABAQUS software to have rut nonlinear numerical simulation, the simulation strictly correspond to the ALF conditions in Wuwei, Gansu province.There are three kinds structures:A is conventional semi-rigid base pavement, B is flexible base pavement and C is high-performance thin asphalt layer of pavement structure. Material creep parameters of the indoor SPT triaxial creep test mixture correspond to the six test sites at different temperatures (15℃,30℃,40℃,50℃,60℃) strikely.Finally, the calculated rut depth under different loading times RD compared with the measured value, the track is basically the same shape and size of deformation. Estimated deformation values are slightly larger than the measured deformation,relative error is less than 10%.In addition, comparison numerical analysis to experimental analysis, have the qualitative summary of the load, temperature, material and structural factors to rut depth.Numerical simulation of asphalt pavement rutting development law is feasible and effective to replace the numerical part of the field test.It will take significant economic benefits.
