With the rapid development of steel-concrete composite structure in China, the new PBL shear connectors attract more and more attention in the past two decades. The merits of the performance of composite structure depends largely on the effective delivery of shear between steel and concrete, and the shear connectors are proposed a higher demand. On the contrary, the study of new PBL shear connectors are less than the traditional shear connection, and there is nearly no research of PBL shear connectors applyed in the anchorage zone. This article relying on the the cable-pylon anchorage zone of the Hongdao Channel Bridge of Qingdao Bay Bridge which is under construction, makes trial and theoretical analysis to the PBL shear connectors. Main contents of the dissertation are as follows:We selected the main part of the cable-pylon anchorage zone in which the PBL shear connectors play role, produced three reduced-scale test model for comparative analysis, applyed tension force rather than the traditional pressure, which is more practical. Through different conditions, we gain large amounts of data of the stress of steel structure, concrete and PBL shear connector, and the displacement of the steel plate, and carry on further study of the distribution of stress and deformation.Using finite element software ANSYS, we gain results under different conditions. Compairing the experimental data to the theoretical results, we find that the pattern is similar. So between the entire loading process, the work was in good condition, there was no apparent failure phenomena, and the capacity had surplus safty reserves. Meanwhile, a new method includes the finite element method and experiments is provided to be referenced.Select some parameters to carry on quantitative analysis, and study the relationship of load and relative slip by curve-fitting. Thus we can find out the key issues affecting capacity and comprehend the mechanism and failure modes of PBL shear connectors to give a reference.
