Study On The System Construction Of Urban Integrated Passenger Transportation

As the 21st century's coming, the question of how to achieve comprehensive development in order to meet the growing demand for transportation residents becomes extremely urgent at the background of integrated transport as a support operation of urban passenger transportation. Urban passenger transport system is constituted by public transport, private transport. As private transport growing rapidly, it is caused severe urban traffic congestion that we must greatly develop the public transport-oriented urban passenger transportation modes to solve the problem, such as adopt mode which is made the metro transportation for the backbone, conventional public transportation for the main part, auxiliary transportation for complementary and reasonable private transportation along, this mode has achieved good results in many countries and regions.During the development of urban passenger transport process in china, we should be widely draw on the successful experience and practices of developed nations, combine our country's actual situation, start building an integrated passenger transport that can save the travel time and improve people's travel efficiency.The study analyses the relevant theory on urban passenger transport system and defines necessity of the developing urban passenger transport. It is based on the successful experience of developed countries'and does some analysis on the status of China's urban passenger transport, and also give several key issues for constructing urban passenger transportation system. At last, it analyzes the protection mechanisms of constricting urban passenger transportation system.
