With the continuous progress of science and technology, and the more widely application of the highly sophisticated technology in all aspects, the requirements of mechanical systems and mechanical products for the transmission device especially for the reducer, such as deceleration devices, are also constantly upgrading. The reducers who can provide large transmission ratio, high output torque, low output speed in a small space and minute extension, will become the future mainstream of deceleration devices.Two designs of new reducer which can have many characteristics, such as small size, light weight, high transmission efficiency, smooth transmission, high bearing capacity, high reliability, long life, ect, have been researched in this thesis. In this thesis, A certain amount of theoretical analysis for the translational meshing transmission have been done; the part of the design parameters for the two kinds of design methods have been described; the three-dimensional modeling and the kinematics simulation have been done by using the corresponding three-dimensional simulation software; the strength verification of some components have also been done.The internal parallel moving transmission is a new method of deceleration. The graded reduction method combined with parallel moving and fixed-axis rotation has been used in this internal translational meshing gear reducer which is mentioned in this thesis. In this thesis the parallelogram pantograph has been used; the design methods and theoretical formulas of some gears have been described; some conditions of internal translational meshing have been discussed; a group design data of the internal translational meshing gear reducer has been obtained; some defects of the design mentioned in this thesis have been optimized, and the whole design have also been improved.A lot of reference data of the follow-up design work has also been provided by this work. The external parallel moving transmission is similar with the previous three-ring reducer. The advantage of the three-ring reducer which has the high transmission ratio has been incorporated in the design of external parallel moving gear reducer mentioned in this thesis; but the parallel moving structure has been simplified. The spherical pair and spherical pole have been used in the transmission scheme in this thesis. A new kind of conversion method of motion used in parallel moving gear reducer has been innovated. A set of design data reducer and some theoretical analysis result of the vibration have been obtained by the theoretical calculation, three-dimensional modeling and simulation. Overall the design can meet the design requirements which are large transmission ratio, high output torque, low output speed in a small space and minute extension. A good design platform for the prototyping and the acquisition of the experimental data has been provided by all this work.
