Research On The Historical Evolvement And Landscape Remodeling Of The Four River Branches In The Downtown Of Guangzhou

In the past 30 years, the river branches suffered serious pollution and become drainage ditch in Guangzhou, as the economic development and urbanization and other factors. Since 1997, Guangzhou began to carry out remediation river branches, but the environment of the river branches has not been a fundamental change , because it's Focus on flood control and drainage water and ignore the most important function of ecological landscape in the early renovation project. Now, the river branch pollution is a serious threat to the city's ecological environment and water safety, so the Comprehensive improvement of the river branches have reached a critical state.The river branches'ecological environment has been more seriously damaged in the downtown of Guangzhou, because it is in the crowded and logistics-intensive areas. So It's the typical of river branches pollution in Guangzhou. This paper focus on the four river branches (Donghao, Liede, Haizhu and Shaji), by they are highly representative of the river branches in Guangzhou, Whether the historical evolution, or the Comprehensive improvement. First of all, reviewed the historical evolution and pollution process of the four river branches. Secondly, study of the pollution and the landscape ecological restoration project through two surveys, analysis of the constraints. And discussed the feasibility methods of the river branches'landscape ecological restoration in Guangzhou, on the basis of the successful experience of foreign river rehabilitation(1) Clear thesis direction, meaning and value, reviews related research and practice, analysis of the river branches and its related concepts, and construction of the paper's structure, present the content and methods of this research.(2) Reviewed the link between river branches and urban, this paper taken the successful rehabilitation of foreign river as an example, sum up the experience for the river branches landscape remodeling in Guangzhou.(3) Reviewed the historical evolution of the four river branches, study the process and the causes of pollution, study of the pollution and the landscape ecological restoration project through two surveys.(4) Analysis of constraints in the river branches restoration project, and discussed the feasibility methods of the river branches'landscape ecological restoration in Guangzhou, from the four aspects of "Landscape", "Environment", "Space ", and "environmental management".
