Because of in service some time, the owners needing to change the building's structural functions, fire and earthquake disasters, making that structural components can not be fit for the established functional requirements, structural components need for strengthening.Structure member strengthening with R.C is a relatively common, application of a wide range of reinforcement methods, widely used in reinforced concrete structural elements. The latest version of the "Design code for strengthening concrete structure "(GB 50367 -2006) put forward on formula of the normal section and inclined section for flexural components and the cross section of compression members. Some conclusions need for deeper study because the formula and the formulation are more general,.This article discusses the principle of R.C structures such as the structure of the general principles of reinforcement, reinforcement procedures, strengthening methods and options; then introduces finite element analysis of R.C theory such as the an overview for development of reinforced concrete finite element analysis , analysis model, the choice of element type, the structure relations for material, the processing for concrete cracking and crushing and slip between steel and concrete; then introduces the principle of Structure member strengthening with R.C, and formula of R.C flexural capacity of beams in code. Finally, the nonlinear simulation of the force is done by the use of the large general -purpose finite element software ANSYS for only the increase in the reinforced bottom section method of beam, and the increase in the reinforcement beams in the end and side beams at the same time. Based on the results, the bearing capacity of the standard formula put forward some ideas; also proposed to consider increasing the width and reinforcement in terms of calculation of the reduced form factor to the actual reinforcement of the project to provide some reference value.
