| Architecture is searching for the essential changes of itself in the 21th century's building environment. The major question behind all these ponderings is: in a world undergoing changes we have never encountered before, except architecture, the ambit among subjects such as city, environment, social and economics becomes blur, however, buildings is still be regarded as a product of the figure and technology, or the isolated thing on the urban land. Modern metropolitans is the very hugeness aggregate of the isolated buildings. At the same time, under the development trend of " de-industrialization" in the city, the main way to establish the competitive advantage of cultural industry is stressing the importance of cultural localization and initiation, which embodied in urban development strategy is taking urban architecture and space as the main body to promote cultural value and city image. Among all, cultural architecture is subjected to special concern since it can set a good example to the revitalization of urban culture during urban cultural innovation and economic transition.Based on the general research on cultural architecture, the thesis is aimed at exploring the relationships of interaction and interpenetration between urban and cultural architecture through composite space which serve as a transitional position. The space form factors and cultural atmosphere of cultural architectures permeate urban space, likewise, the landscape and activities of urban permeate cultural architecture. Through the"interpenetration"it makes the urban space more open and humanized and the cultural architecture more dynamic. The most important features appeared in the process are the continuous relationships and multi-layered compositeness. The thesis is consisted of four parts. Firstly, it brings forward the concept of composite space based on the theories of architecture design and urban design. Then, through the analysis of developing situation and development trend of modern cities, urban culture and cultural architecture, it explores the relationships between cultural architecture, urban and environment and the influence over them which is posed by the composite space. Finally, it sums up the universal principles and practical methods of composite space design in cultural architecture, and try to explore the way forward in practice combined with the theories. |
