Electronic belt scale is a device designed for weighing the bulk material continuously. At present, in the hardware most of the electronic belt scales are designed by 16-bit MCU or PLC which are on the low side in the processing speed. In the software they are programmed with assembly language and use the traditional linearity program flow chart which makes software maintenance and upgrade more unconvenient. With analyzing the present electronic belt scale technology and using the experience of the past for reference, this paper offers a design of electronic belt scale based on DSP.In the design of electronic belt scale, the design of control&display instrument is very important to the realization of the weighing function. With simply introducing the design principles of detecting elements and bracket, this paper offers a design of control&display instrument based on DSP andμC/OS-II. On hardware this instrument that uses 32-bit high properties TMS320F2812 produced by TI Inc. as central control unit consists analog quantity gather module, on-off output and input module, communication module, Human Merchine Interface module and so on, on software this instrument based on replanting theμC/OS-II on DSP finishes the design of application. With these parts this instrument has weighing signals sampling function, variables displaying function, faults alarming function, communicating with upper computer function and so on, at the same time it also can have closed-loop speed governing function through extended PID controller. This instrument has some adavantages as fast processing speed, convenient Human Merchine Interface, good extensibility and so on. At last this paper introduces the auto-zero manners and test manners.
