In the 80 years of the 20th century, with the development of computer technology, VirtualPrototype Technology is rapidly developed as CAE technology.Engineers can build prototypemodels in computers, do dynamic analysis of the virtual models, using digital form instead oftraditional physical prototype experiments, and then improve prototype design. Using of virtualprototype technology, we can greatly simplify the design of mechanical products developmentprocess, significantly shorten product development cycles, reduce product development costs,improve product design quality, enhance customer oriented and market needs.This thesis take a certain brand electric hoist as the research object, using UG andADAMS as platform, use virtual prototype technology to conduct a development of research onthe design of electric hoist, in order to get the work characteristics of various parts of theelectric hoist during work process. The specific research contents include the followings:1. Based on actual measurement of the electric hoist dimensions, study the 3.2t electrichoist of its working principle and working process, use UG to build various parts solid model ofthe electric hoist, mainly include hosting part and moving part. According the relationshipbetween relative positions of the various components,carry out virtual assemble,formed avirtual assemblymodel of the electric hoist.2. Using the ADAMS/Exchange module, through parasolid standard format, import theelectric hoist model created in UG into ADAMS software.3. In the ADAMS software, according to various parts of working principle andconnection status of the electric hoist, by adding constraints, motions, loads and so on betweenthe various parts, get the virtual prototype model of the electric hoist.4. Use ADAMS to do the simulation of electric hoist in the working process state, andanalysis the results reasonably and effectively.This thesis has attempted to use virtual prototype technology to electronic hoist designstudy. Through research it shows that using of virtual prototype technology for the electric hoistdynamic simulation analysis can well reflect the work state of variety institutions performancecharacteristics more realistically, and it's a feasible analysis tool, it also shows that thistechnology can be used to provide more important reference data for future electric hoist designand experiments.
