Production scheduling is one of the key issues that modern enterprise management can't get around. It has joined the enterprise control and management. It is the base for supporting decision-making of enterprise operation strategic and arranging task for product processing. It also supervises operations of production control. Along with the global vigorous competition and the customers'various requirements, the scheduling research just for job-shop can not keep up with market's development gradually. So this paper puts forward scheduling problem oriented on product production chain. According to the order, some enterprises which have specific production competence form a league. When every enterprise exerts its advantages, the resource is well used and the task is well accomplished, and every enterprise can share benefit based on league. In addition, production chain is important to the supply chain management, which demands to be studied deeply.Seeking optimization method with polynomial complexity is almost impossible because most of scheduling problems are combination optimization problems which are NP hard. Experts and scholars did many efforts in research of scheduling methods. Comparing with traditional scheduling methods, swarm intelligent algorithms and scheduling technology based on multi-agent have lots of advantages, which are studied continually by the researchers. This paper uses ant colony algorithm, wasp colony algorithm, and multi-agent to solve problems of production scheduling.In the front of this paper, the definition, characteristics of production chain and the status in supply chain management are given;then both traditional scheduling method and modern scheduling method are discussed comparatively. The trend of scheduling method development is also discussed. The main content of this paper contains some problems as follow:Firstly, how to form a production chain by ant colony algorithm. It is the same as how to choose good parters. Secondly, how to solve the scheduling problem of production chain when many production taskes come by wasp colony algorithm.Finally, how to solve the flexile scheduling problem of production chain by the way of multi-agent.
