With the rapid development of permanent magnet material and the application of control technology in synchronous motor, permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) has become more and more attractive in electric drive field for its high efficience, high ratio of torgue-inertia, high energy density. Sensorless control of PMSM has become a hot research topic in motor control technology field for reducing cost and improving system reliability, but the research on electric drive system of high and middle power PMSM is few in China. On the background of the national 863 project, PMSM vector control system based on sliding mode observer(SMO) is researched and designed. The main contents of this thesis are as follow:First of all, the PMSM mathematical models at different coordinates are established and a variety of control strategys are analysised based on a great deal of relevant literature at home and abroad, then the control strategy is determined based on the actual situation. SVPWM is analysised and implemented. SMO is designed based on In-depth research and analysis of the SMO principle. Under the conditions of the stator voltage and phase current of SPMSM, estimation of rotor positionand and adaptive estimation of rotor speed are achieved.Secondly, hardware design and software design of the control system are achieved, not only implement the basic functions but also carry out further research. Hardware design includes device selection and circuit design, such as processor selection, sensor selection,minimum system circuit of DSP TMS320F2812, detection circuit, protection circuit, drive circuit etc.; At the same time, software design of control system is achieved based on modular programming method, such as interruption program, SVPWM program, SMO program, fault detection and handling program, communication program, speed detection in M/T program, self-tuning drift program, digital filter with variable cutoff frequency program, improved PI controller program, voltage detection with hysteresis program etc.. The real-time performance and reliability of the hardware and software is verificated by the actual debugging.In the end, simulation based on MATLAB/Simulink and experiment are made to test performance of the control system, and both results are well.
