In this thesis,we only wage numerical part(include in data compactor part,data transmission partand PC controland display part)on concrete function module design and software programing.In the digital ultrasonic flaw detectors,backward-wave signal is sampled and changed through the highspeed A/D converter,and we'll get a large number of datas.Because datas are not all be used to draw testing curve,they must be compacted.lt is necessary to compress so much datas,so data-compaction instrument must be designed and used.Here introduces the principle of data-compaction instrument,and designs a exclusive instrument using ISP which may change compression point and automatically provide 1024 consecutive addresses of outside data storage unit.Following notebook computer being used broadly in field detectiong, peripheral which have USB interface are prepotent more and more.The ultrasonc flaw detector we're designing will be connect with notebook computer in field detection,so we elect USB interface to accomplish transmission between detector and PC.The article not only introduces basic knowledge about USB briefly and gives detailed develop process of USB peripheral and flow diagrams of USB controller,but also operating against our device's functions,gives developprocess of device driver and important API function being used.In addition,an exclusive interface being used to control and display is designed.Through program technique on line in combination with USB,the box of ultrasonic flaw detector being controlled and displayed by PC is designed,which not only improves device performance,reduces cost,makes device handy,but also caters for tendency to development of peripheral of PC.
