As one of the important testing methods in nondestructive testing field, ultrasonicflaw detection technology is widely applied in many flies for its advantages ofsensitivity, directivity, penetrability, stability and non-population; its development tendto be digitalization, intellectualization, visualization and miniaturization. With thedevelopment of computer, it is a further development that to combine the embeddedtechnology with instrumentation industry for the intellectualization of instrument.Through a research on the development of ultrasonic flaw detection technologyand the current level of our digital ultrasonic testing instrument, this thesis hasdesigned an embedded ultrasonic testing instrument with type A pulse reflectionmethod based on ARM11. The main work is as follows:On the hardware system, The ultrasonic transceiver circuit, the protection circuitlimiter, a gain amplifier, a filter circuit, A/D sampling circuit, FIFO buffer circuit anda power circuit-based front end circuit were designed, achieving the transmission andreception of ultrasonic waves and processing the received signal. In addition, build acore processor of S3C6410hardware management platform, realizing of the front-endcircuit control and treatment related to the development of the application for thelatter data provide hardware environment.On the software system, embedded linux development environment was builtthrough the establishment of cross-compiler environment, bootloader transplant, linuxkernel and root file system transplant production. As a basis for, elaborated theimplementation process of data transmission, signal denoising, defect positioningcalculation and control of the hardware circuit functions on the application withsoftware development tools. Finally, achieve a convenient user interface developmentby means of embedded GUI development tool Qt/Embedded.Thesis successfully designed a fully functional, stable performance, theparameters are in line with the requirements of ultrasonic flaw detection systemthrough the design of hardware and software.
