In the test of hydraulic cylinders, the test bed is the essential equipment. The function of the test-bed lies on the hydraulic system and control system's character.Electro-hydraulic system integrates with the characteristics of electrics and hudraulic press aspects,and has many advantages such as high control precision,fast response speed,big output power, disposing signal agilely,and achiecing various parameters'feedback easily and so on.On the basis of the research of development of the electro-hydraulic servo system and its power system, the valve-controlled nonsymmetrical hydraulic cylinder servo system meeting field demand is adopted. The valve-controlled nonsymmetrical hydraulic cylinder math model different from the general valve-controlled symmetrical hydraulic servo system model is rebuilt with deducting and solving parameters of the system. Based on the model, the continuous and discrete PID control methods are introduced and discrete PID controller is established using MATLAB/Simulink, moreover the simulation is accomplished. To overcome the limitation of general PID control appeared in the above analysis result, a new control algorithm is designed to improve the control effect of valve-controlled nonsymmetrical hydraulic cylinder using CMAC-PID complex controller method.Excellent control effect can be acquired through optimizing combination of the general PID and neural networks with the random nonlinear ability. Simulation results show that the valve-controlled nonsymmetrical hydraulic servo system based on CMAC-PID complex controller can achieve better control effect in terms of adaptability and stability. The CMAC-PID complex controller provides favorable reference in research on control of other complex nonlinear systems.
