Studies On The Stability And Floatingstate Of Large Floating Crane Ship

With the development of marine resources, marine engineering and salvage business, floating crane has become an indispensable engineering ship. While the quantity demanded increased, the scale is also growing. For the complexity of the working environment and sling load, floating crane must have good stability in a variety of conditions in order to ensure the safty of the ship and lifting operations. Furthermore, the stability of the ship, an basic but important technology performance, has been the focus of attention.This paper presents the 7500 tons"blue whale"revolving floating crane and calculates its stability by software NAPA. The main contents in the paper are as follows:First, the regulations of ABS, BV, DNV and CCS concerning the security of crane ship are introduced in detail, and their differences are provided and discussed.Second, based on the stability analysis of the 7500 tons"blue whale"revolving floating crane and the comparison of crane stability criterion in IMO and other classification societies, this paper proposes the exploratory development about the crane stability criterion the 7500 tons"blue whale"revolving floating crane.Third, based on the stability analysis of floating crane ship in the still water and waves, this paper researches the stability in the state of full-floating through the angle between the ship's and wave's moving directions. Finally it proposes the exploratory development about the crane stability criterion in waves.
