Theoretically speaking, multi-action constant axial piston pump is a new pulseless hydraulic pump. Valve plate pairs are one of the most key friction pairs. The pump's working performance and service life are seriously affected by vibration,friction-abrasion and leakage of port plate pairs. So, the study of characteristics of port plate pairs has great guiding significance and practical significance to the development and design of multi-action constant axial piston pump.In this paper, based on the analysis of structure and characteristic of domestic and foreign port plate pairs of multi-action constant axial piston pump, a new style of valve plate is presented, and also series of characteristic researches are developed according to structure and working principle of multi-action constant axial piston pump; The damping mathematical model of port plate pairs on multi-action constant axial piston pump is established; the influences of different damping structure,elastic module and density on vibration absorbing characteristics of port plate pairs are compared; calculation model and geometric model of lubrication are built for port plate pairs of multi-action constant axial piston pump; numerical simulation of velocity field and pressure field are researched by FLUENT which is fluid simulation software in different conditions and different structures; leakage mathematical model of multi-action constant axial piston pump is founded; the effect law of different factors (eg. pressure,structure parameter,film thickness) on leakage is studied and dynamic leakage is analyzed.The results show:i) Damping structure of port plate has a great influence on vibration impact and noise of pump; pressure gradient change of damping slot which flow section were constant is small in three different flow section damping slots, the effect of vibration and noise reduction relative well.ii) In the port plate pairs fluid field without damping slot, that's to say, ordinary port plate fluid field, pressure and volecity is low in the oil absorption slot and it is high in the oil-discharge slot. When fluid flows from high pressure slot to low pressure slot or flows from low pressure slot to high pressure slot, pressure gradient is obvious changed. While in the port plate pairs fluid field with damping slot, pressure gradient is obvious gentle, and it can effectively decreased vibration and noise for pump.iii)The influences of pressure, film thickness and structure size of seal belt on leakage of port plate pairs are obvious; before film thickness getting a certain value, leakage is small and basically stable; when structure size of seal belt gets a certain vale, leakage is the smallest; when film thickness is changed by sine rule, the effect of rotational speed, amplitude and pressure on leakage of port plate pairs is larger.
