As an important part in moden wind turbine, The dynamic characteristic of individual variable pitch mechanism has great impact on MW wind turbine for a large scale wind turbine with individual variable pitch cintrol. The pitch-angle catch up with the change of wind is necessary to the power quality and profit of wind turbine. The dynamic characteristic of individual variable pitch mechanism is studied in this paper based on one MW wind turbine.with individual pitch control.Based on the study of individual variable pitch control principle, the variable pitch load of one blade is caculated. Take the individual variable pitch mechanism of one 2MW wind turbine in a company as an reference, the pitch system use DC sevro moter as driving source, the three-stage planetary gear is adopted as the reducer, The'motor-gear-blade'model of individual variable pitch mechanism has built up.The equivalent model of individual variable pitch mechanism is built up with the theory of mechanical kinetic, The dynamic characteristic of individual variable pitch mechanism is researched by using the software Matlab/Simulink. The individual variable pitch mechanism meet the requirement of individual pitch, but can't realize the individual variable pitch control. As the Rated torque of DC sevro motor increased or the transmission ratio of individual variable pitch mechanism increased, the response velocity of individual variable pitch sysytem is improved, It's helpfull to achieve the individual variable pitch control with individual variable pitch mechanism.The three-dimensioonal model of individual variable pitch mechanism is built up by the software Pro/Enginneer and the model is imported to the ADAMS by the interface software Mech/Pro. The dynamical simulation has been done by the requirement of individual variable pitch control, the variable pitch mechanism meet the requirement of individual variable pitch,but can't realized the individual variable oitch control. Through the study of meshing force in the transmission process of individual variable pitch mechanism, a method of caculating the the fatigue strength with the transmission components. Through the analysis of angular accelaration velocity with the transmission components of individual variable pitch mechaniasm in the initial of running phase, the variable pitch system has a certain range of fluctuation.The research on dynamic characteristic of variable pitch mechanism provide a theoretical reference to the design of individual variable pitch mechanism. It has great engineering application.
