Rut is the asphalt pavement main form of early damage in national freeway. Lian-Xu freeway opened to traffic three years later had a more serious rut, affecting driving safety and comfort. Papers on the rut in Lian-Xu freeway maintenance of key technologies.In this paper, based on the investigation and analysis of rut on Lian-Xu expressway and test of the high-temperature stability of asphalt mixture, correlation about on high-temperature stability of asphalt mixture and rut was discussed. The paper discussed the performance and request of raw material used in micro surfacing and proportioning design of mixture, analyzed the function of micro surfacing mixture filled in different area through entity engineering. According to area weighted averages method mineral gradation of micro surfacing is composed, and synthesis mineral gradation limitation of micro surfacing used to fill different rut depth is put forward. Based on classification and performance of bituminous recycling agent, the affection on blending ratio of old mineral to the performance of recycled asphalt mixture is discussed, and proportioning design of recycled asphalt mixture is studied. By following up and observing maintained pavement, development regulation of rut is analyzed, normal service life of micro surfacing and hot-in-place recycling is verified. Combination of research achievement of laboratory experiment and actually engineering practice, analyzing useable situation of micro surfacing, hot-in-place recycling and cold planning to rut, technique requirement and characteristics of different rut maintenance method is obtained. Through analyzing the economic performance and the social performance and comparing with normal procedure, micro-surfacing and hot-in-place recycling has obviously economic advantage.
