Each asphalt layer assume different function, performance of the designed asphalt mixture should be adapted to their respective structure layer functional requirements. However, now asphalt mixture of each sturture layer substantially designs according to full function requirement,it is difficult to better solve its contradiction of asphalt mixture high and low temperature stability,anti-sliding stability and close-grained. Taking this as the background, the thesis is aimed at expressway asphalt road surface structure of Shanxi province, studied asphalt mixture gradation optimization of each sturture layer based on asphalt layer functional requirements, and has important significance.The paper first analyses asphalt pavement damage types and the effect of gradation on it, put up each asphalt layer function and the performance of asphalt mixture. With percentage of voids in coarse aggregate of evaluation index, based on the theory of graded interference through grading fill test coarse aggregate gradation is determined; based the theory of n method, according as the best intensity and void ratio, the fine aggregate is determined. Based on volume method, ratio of coarse and fine aggregate gradation is preliminary determined. On that basis,it is studied asphalt mixture gradation optimization of each sturture layer based on asphalt layer functional requirements,and recommend asphalt mixture gradation range of each layers.The result can be referenced and applied in engineering practice.
