With the vigorous development of the automobile industry,a large number of waste tires will bring enormous pressure to the ecological environment protection.As a good material,rubber asphalt not only consumes waste tires,but also has good high and low temperature performance which can effectively meet the requirements of highway construction.Based on the scientific and technological support project of Qinghai Provincial Communications Department,this paper carries out the application research of rubber asphalt in the western high altitude area represented by Yushu,in order to provide certain technical support for the promotion of rubber asphalt in this area.The main research contents of this paper include: technical performance and key control indicators of waste rubber powder;rubber asphalt production formula suitable for high altitude;typical mix design;gradation optimization design.The article starts with the quality control of waste tire rubber powder.By comparing the current common low-temperature freezing method,normal temperature grinding method and other methods,the production method and technical index suitable for high-altitude road waste rubber powder are proposed.The method of designing the test is to optimize the production formula of rubber asphalt production,and to consider the special environment of high altitude area represented by Yushu,optimize the formula,and study the rubber powder content and the oil-stone ratio rubber asphalt mixture.The effects of high temperature stability and low temperature crack resistance have been found.As the amount of rubber powder increases,the slope of the stress-strain curve of the asphalt mixture decreases,and the compressive rebound modulus and static modulus increase greatly.The deformation capacity is increased and the low temperature sensitivity is reduced.As the rubber powder content increases,the high temperature stability of the mixture is improved;the strain at break is increased,the stiffness modulus is reduced,and the low temperature crack resistance is improved;Increase,the compressive modulus of resilience and static modulus of the mixture decrease;as the ratio of oil to stone increases,the high temperature stability of the asphalt mixture decreases;The modulus of mass is reduced,which improves the low temperature crack resistance of the mixture.Finally,a relatively systematic analysis of the rubber asphalt pavement construction process was carried out,and the requirements of the rubber asphalt production line were summarized.Based on theYushu Zhizhi multi-section highway project,the project has been verified.It is found that the water-damage resistance,high-temperature stability and low-temperature crack resistance of the rubber asphalt mixture can meet the requirements.It not only reduces the burden on the environment,but also saves valuable petroleum resources,so it has certain engineering application value and provides a technical basis for the promotion and application of rubber asphalt in Qinghai Province.
