The Research On The Design Of Water-saving Landscape In Changsha City Parks

Currently,the resource utilization in urban park is under extensive managment,and its utilization of water resource is unreasonable. Under the background of the shortage of water resources in the global context, landscape in urban parks should make use of water resource reasonably so as to meet the need of sustainable development.On the basis of the related theory and practical measures about water-saving landscape in China and Abroad, selecting five representative parks for present situation of water resources in changsha city park. From the point of view of water. conservation, the investigation mainly analyses the existing problems about the construction of water-saving landscape in Changsha city parks,and it carries out from the following aspects:the commonly-used plant species and their drought tolerance, the forms of ground cover, the irrigation methods, the collection of rain water resources and the use of middle-water in Changsha city parks, etc. After studying in depth on the existing problems, the results of main research are as follows:(1) According to relevant theory and practice in China and Abroad, summarizing the theory on the design of water-saving landscape in city parks systematically; (2) By looking in to five representative parks in Changsha city, we can find the serious problems existing in Changsha city parks about the utilization of water resources at present; (3) By applying water-saving landscape theory to the transformation and design of water-saving landscape in Changsha Martyrs Park, and combining theory with practice,we have explored the constructive methods and approaches of water-saving landscape in urban parks.By studying the status about saving water of Changsha urban parks and theory, and analyzing practical case, we can provide a reference of water-saving landscapes for the southern city of parks, and offer the impetus to water-saving society in Changsha for sustainable development.
