| With the enrollment expansion and combination of college in recent years, great development has happened in our campuses, which is not only reflected in the expansion of the campus area and the increase in the number of college campus buildings, but also in the great development of the open space in the buildings. as a form of campus open space overhead construction is gradually being introduced to architectural designs and has been taken as an effective means of solving the issues such as campus transportation organizations, environmental design and climate regulation. In this paper, based on the environment research of university buildings, the study on the overhead space of modern university buildings first starts with an understanding of concept of overhead space, then tries to analyze its essential attribute. Through the analysis on several modern typical architectural cases of southern universities, and the discussion on the effects and underlying factors, the paper further sums up the universal principles and practical methods of overhead space design in southern university buildings. This article is consisted of three parts:1,The first part is the understanding of the subject. Firstly, proceeding from the purpose and significance of the research, it points out basic method and frame of studying in the thesis related to theories and research at home and abroad; secondly,it defines the relevant concepts; Finally,it summarize the content and features of activities in overhead space.2,The second part is the analysis of the subject. Firstly, it analyzes the effects of overhead space and point out the importance of overhead space design; secondly,it analyzes the factors affecting the design of overhead space; Finally, with the combination of several modern typical architectural instances in southern universities,it analyzes the design of overhead space from four aspects and puts forward some exiting problems in the design.3,The third part is the conclusion of the subject. Based on the above, it sums up the universal principles and practical methods of overhead space design in southern university buildings. |
