With the rapid development of information technology,the society presents the state of information and knowledge,more attention is paid to the autonomy and openness of learning,the original education mode has become unable to adapt to social development and demand of talents,society needs people with innovative,critical and independent thinking,more attention is paid to the subjectivity of the learners,Information Leaning has become increasingly prominent.There are various learning spaces in the university campus,including the formal learning space and the informal learning space.The teaching building is undoubtedly important part,it carries most formal learning and is also an important place for informal learning.In this trend,the corresponding function mode of teaching buildings in universities should be changed.Besides satisfying students’ formal learning demand,it should also meet the demand of informal learning.The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of the informal learning space in university teaching building in Southern China area.To investigate and analyse the demand of informal learning space,and then on the basis of research,to summarize the affecting factors that the spatial distribution of informal learning in Universities teaching building,and the different types of space whether to be use for informal learning space.To provide suggestions for the informal learning space design in university teaching building.The main research includes the following:First,the author collects and reads a lot of documents to sort out the theory of informal learning space by scholars abroad and abroad.On this basis,the author puts forward the definition,characteristics and classification of informal learning space.After the concept "informal learning space" is clear,the author analyzes some foreign cases,put forward the basic mode of space,summarizes the basic characteristics and influence factors of informal learning space in the teaching building,and discusses the influence of the climate for building space in Southern China area.Second,do some research and questionnaires on teaching building in Southern China,.In this process,to obtain corresponding information or advice with the respondents talk,get investigation of the current situation of informal learning space,and from many aspects to analyse the space.Third,analyse the research content and data,combined with abroad case study,the informal learning space is divided into decentralized and centralized,and finally puts forward the accessibility,comfort,diversity,seasonal four design principles,use the theory and the countermeasures to solve practical problems,such as to transform the Wenke building in Shenzhen University.Fourthly,at the end of this paper,we summarize the conclusion and point out the significance of this article,then put forward the limitations and the work to be done in subsequent research.
