| With the rapid development of urbanization, China's large metropolitan areas appeared in a large number of development activities about new towns,which majority of them are industrial development as the forerunner.They usually appeared in multi-economic zones and industrial parks in the form. After more than 20 years of development, in order to adapt to changes in the external environments and compensates for their inherent defects,they generally experience a period of adjustment. Parts of them are changing their meaning of construction, their functions change to the comprehensive urban function from development zones,and gradually development to a new district.Since Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in Nansha island from 1993,after nearly 20 years of development, Nansha Island is undergoing transformation from a development zone to a new district with comprehensive urban functions. This article is trying to study what changes the island has experienced in the spacial form construction process with gains and losses, how to build a dynamic new city spacial form and so on.This paper chose Nansha Island as a case study with multi-methods and multi-perspectives to research the urban spatial form. First of all, the paper rationally divided the development period into three phases, researched them from three aspects of the land use, road systems and the land spacial morphology analysis of the main function.The paper also discussed the characteristics of its evolution, causes and evolution of power.Secondly, this paper selected several factors of spacial form such as natural landscape, streets, residential and industrial areas to research the characteristics and problems of the urban spatial form of Nansha Island, and finally proposed optimization strategies of development to guide the sustainable development of Nansha Island. |
