With the rapid development of our country's economic, the proportion of building energy consumption to the total energy consumption is higher and higher. Especially in the hot summer and cold winter area of our country, thermal energy consumption has become a major factor in energy waste, brings a series of ecological and environmental problems. The architecture field has begun to rationally consider the relationship between architecture and environment, they realized that ecological concerns on the architecture design has great significance to reduce energy consumption,and meanwhile, it also gives new aesthetic significance on the interface morphology.On the background of the environment crisis and sources shortage that mankind faces, this paper firstly describes the theoretical research of ecological since 20th century 60's, then analyses the concept of the architectural interface and concept of ecology and ecosystem, and thus it attains the meaning of the ecological interface. In the next place,it analyzes the climatic characteristics of hot summer and cold winter area in our country, pointing out the contradictions in the ecological design in this area and also in the country,such as the contradictions between ecological techniques and the architectural forms, inefficient ecological design wituout of quantitative analysis and the implementation of ecological architecture.Then it proposes that the construction of ecological interface lies in four aspects:acclimatization, adoption of appropriate techniques, adjustable capability and architectural aesthetics under the ecological techniques. According to the above discussions and analyses of various aspects, this paper detailed lists ecology strategies for architectural interface which are suitable for hot summer and cold winter area, including four aspects:architectural external adumbral system and natural lighting, passive solar heating and passive ventilation, architectural interface virescence, architectural chamber space. It also talks about that these strategies bring about the aesthetic impact on the interface modality. This is the most crucial part of the paper. Finally, this paper also talks about materials technology support for architectural interface, including the traditional natural materials technology, new industrial materials technology, and solar photovoltaic technology which has been concernd in recent years.Basing on region and climate, it is necessary for architects to improve ecological characteristics of architectural interface by focusing on the elaborate design devices instead of relying on equipment technologies, and to coordinate the contradictions between natrual environment and human comfort requirements. Thus, it also has a enormous potential for development.
