A more comfortable nosocomial environment is required gradually, when the economy and living standard are developed by degrees.Modern medical model is occurring the change from biological medicine to biopsychosocial medicine.Thus,the hospital should provide comprehensive services of prevention, diagnosis and recuperation now instead of diagnosis only in the past.Besides,the economic system reform of our country is from planned economy to socialist market economy, which requires the hospital to change the supply into enterprise.The major hospital construction is focused on the improvement of efficiency, quality of environment and resources distribution in response to the changes.Therefore,a great opportunity has been brought to the development of hospital external environment.Chapter one describes the background,purpose,objects,frame and necessity of the hospital external environment. Chapter two introduces the development of practice and theory research of hospital external environment, and elaborates the facing problem, development tendency and impendence of the hospital external environment research in changsha. Chapter three decides the design element and principle base on people's psychology and behavior.
