The study on urban wind environment and the improvement of wind environment based on it is of great significance for thermal comfort and energy-saving city space. Nowadays, there are basically three methods to analysis on urban wind environment, the field measurement, wind tunnel test and computer simulation. Compared with other traditional methods, the CFD technology has the advantage of low cost, accurate calculation and less time consuming, more importantly, CFD include several fluid dynamic formula, and is convenient for non professional to adopt, and thus it becomes more and more popular in the field of Green Building and Urban Planning, the software of Fluent can simulate the ventilation environment for the designers and planners, consequently, offering quantity and data for scientific architecture and city planning. However, there is not adequate study on the influence of plants on the ventilation environment. And this thesis analysis on the influence of plants layout on the ventilation environment, and the study on the wind environment of Jindiminjin residential area of Shenzhen, and provide several sustainable design strategies to improve thermal comfort and ventilation environment by landscape strategies and planting layout.In this thesis, CFD Technology and Fluent software is firstly introduced, and then the application of CFD Technology in the field of architecture and landscape architecture. In the aspect of urban ventilation environment, the study methods, classification of wind speed and human thermal comfort, ventilation environment and pollution disperse, ventilation environment and architecture, ventilation environment and plants, wind environment and sustainable design strategies and so on. Based on it, simulate different kinds of planting layout by Fluent software, and then analysis on the influence of these planting layout on wind environment on the vertical sides and horizontal plane of different heights.Last but not the least, simulate the ventilation environment of Jindiminjin residential area in both summer and winter, to find out the region with bad wind environment, the wind speed is too high or too low, and with turbulence, and thus offer sustainable landscape strategies, like the reasonable planting layout, in the region with the prevailing wind direction of summer, ever green trees are planted, in the meanwhile, in the region with the prevailing wind direction of winter, designers should adopt deciduous trees and multiple planting layout, and thus slow down the wind speed, and make the residents more comfortable.
