Since 1999, yearly trend in college enrollment is indeed alarming proportions, according to the latest Ministry of Education the number of our enrollment statistics, the national university expansion in 2010, the total number of 279,350 people. This is the scale of these years continued campus expansion and construction of major. The building springs up on campus, with a new high. The rapid development of the campus environment to meet the enrollment to the campus nowadays the pressure, but we also see the school environment there are still some deficiencies. Campus is not only the training and dissemination of the carrier of culture, urban planning and construction is also part of a school which is under a specific regional culture of the city. So how to build a regional cultural characteristics campus is particularly important, which is discussed in this paper to be the main content.The innovation of this paper is reflected in: explore the campus through environmental design and urban planning, urban regions the relationship between culture and the harmonious these development factors, examined in depth to maintain local cultural features design ideas and the campus environment method to guide the design of better campus environment into the development of the city's overall planning which underlines the unique character of the local campus culture.The main contents of this paper of six parts: The first part introduces the research background of this thesis, purpose, meaning, domestic and international situation, and the research contents and methods. The second part deals with urban planning, urban local culture, an overview of campus design and interaction among the harmonious development of relations. The third part is the geographical and cultural characteristics of Jingdezhen knowledge description. The fourth part is the Campus Environmental Design Jingdezhen realities, problems, causes and factors, and proposed the solution that corresponds to ideas and methods. The fifth part take Xianghu campus environmental design program of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute for example, further argued and explained how to keep the city's local culture in the design of campus environment. The sixth part concluding remarks and echoing arguments.
