Integration Of Geographical And Cultural Characteristics Of The School Environment Design Exploration

Chinese university campus building is gradually expanding the current size ofthe city where the University, the city’s historical, cultural and natural factors andeconomic development of the campus environmental planning and development hasbeen the impact. A city’s economic development, cultural heritage and landscape levelwill show up on campus. The city’s geographical features and cultural characteristicsof how the design of the campus environment reflected the urban landscape of the cityand the cultural uniqueness extends an important manifestationThe contents of the above studies, this paper will study local urban culture as anentry point, through the city’s ecological regions natural environment, culturalproperty features an open space characteristics, the basic theory of sustainableenvironmental design of the campus local culture as reference, the university campusenvironment and how to create a distinctive design of the campus as a researchdirection.In this paper, three aspects of the campus environment design breakthroughs:First, through the use of urban design theory and methods to the design of the campusenvironment to solve the problems; Secondly, a local natural environment, culturalidentity, space and sustainable development as a campus environment to exploredesign ideas and methods of geographical and cultural characteristics of the startingpoint. Finally, for campus planning and design how the overall development of thecity with local organic union unity ideas to solve this problem, will be the overallurban planning and urban spatial development as a guide.In Chapter1it introduces the research background，significance，content andmethod of the thesis and defines related Concepts-Chapter2imports some basicconcepts and methods of city design while describes the circumstances anddevelopment inclination of environmental design in China．Chapter3analyzes thesituation，existing problems and their causes of the environmental design with thecharacteristic of regional culture of Taizhou．Then it puts forward the correspondingsolution．Chapter4studies the characteristic of regional culture of Taizhou in details，and puts forward specific design method of campus environment which is based onthe regional culture．Chapter5analyzes and proves the method with the instance ofnew campus’s environmental design of NWPU．And then it discusses how to keep thecharacteristic of regional culture in the campus environment design further．In theend，some advice and assumption are brought up to contribute to the theories ofcampus environment design and city culture inheritance．...
