The comprehensive utilization and recycling of the waste with lead has been concerned, because the lead resource is decreasing gradually while our demand for it is increasing with the development of our society. In this thesis, the process of preparing lead nitrate, lead chloride and lead oxide from diachylum in waste lead storage battery was studied. The optimal processing conditions were determined by the single factor and orthogonal experiment. The estimate of economic benefit and the analysis of environmental protection of the processing were carried out. The main work and results are as following:(1) The optimal processing conditions of preparing lead nitrate from waste lead storage battery were determined. In these conditions, the desulfurization rate and leaching rate of diachylum were over 99.8% and 99.5%, respectively. When the filtrate form salting-out process had leaching cycle once, the recovery rate was over 99.0% and the purity of lead was over 99.0% which met the requirement of the analytical reagent in HG/T3470-2000.(2) The optimal processing conditions of preparing lead chloride from waste lead storage battery were determined. The leaching rate of lead in diachylum was over 99.0% in these conditions, the purity of lead chloride was over 99.1%, which came up to the standard requirement of chemical reagent in the Q/(HG)SJ 559-91.(3) The optimal processing conditions of preparing lead oxide from lead nitrate were determined. The purity of lead oxide was 99.4%, which met first-class product standard for other industries according to GB3677-83. The recovery rate of lead was over 99.0% under the filtrate recycling. The optimal processing condition of preparing lead oxide from lead chloride was determined. In these conditions, the recovery rate was 99.0% and the purity of lead oxide productions was 99.1%, which had satisfied glass industrial standard in GB3677-83.(4) Production equipments for lead nitrate, lead chloride and lead oxide were selected, economic benefits were estimated and environmental conditions were analyzed. The results were, these products prepared by hydrometallurgical process were able to receive well economic benefits and the processes of productions were generally non-polluting.
