With the city scale expanding and economic development in a fast speed, floor traffic already has no way to adapt to the economic activity and the transport amounts need of people increasing by gradually produce life, traffic problem already has become the key factor restricting city development. Developing speedy rail traffic is the approach to resolve the city traffic problem, which urge the subway to develop quickly in our country. With the rapid development of subway in China, the subway station as a big common space, whose environmental quality problem made people pay attention to it. Design a rational air-conditioning in subway is very important to ensure the subway normal running and provide the proper environment to the passenger. As the same time, with the rapid development of subway constructing, electric power consumption of air-conditioning system in subway will continue to grow. For this reason, improving the subway station air-conditioning comfort and electric power consumption of air-conditioning system is a urgent and significant thing. One way to solve this problem is using cold air distribution system to air-conditioning in subway.This paper outlines the history and characteristic of the air-conditioning system in subway and cold air distribution system, and analyzes the structure and characteristics of the cooling load of the air-conditioning system in subway. With an subway station of the Guangzhou NO.3 railway line, analyzes the impact of the cooling load feature to the applying of the cold air distribution system and compares the difference of the cooling load calculation between the cold air distribution system and normal air-conditioning system. Building a full-scale physical model according to the actual size of the station, and simulating the temperature and velocity fields by Fluent software, through comparative analysis of simulation results shows that is feasible to use cold air distribution system to air-conditioning in subway.Finally the research of the application of cold air distribution system in air-conditioning in subway is summarized, and some suggestions to further study is also given in this paper.
