With the urbanization process and the rapid development of science and technology, many underground buildings came into being. In various forms of Underground constructions, underground emporium has a higher fire risk, because of its large fire load, personnel-intensive, and other characteristics.In view of the limitation and optional of the standards about underground exporium and the fire charactetistics of underground emporium, it is necessary to conduct study on fire smoke flow of underground exporium.First, the cause of the fire and fire characteristics of underground exporium were introduced in this paper, and the research status of fire smoke flow rule. The basic knowledge of smoke flow and study method were introduced next. On the basis of studying on advantages and disadvantages of each method, the computer simulation was selected, the fire dynamic simulation software FDS.Then the safety evacuation criteria and evacuation time of calculation were studied. According to the real condition of FDS and Shenyang Taiyuan street underground emporium, the actual situation as close as possible to the true situation of physical models were established to simulate different scenes of fire smoke flow both in nature-eject and mechanical-eject situations. Then we got the laws of smoke flow. Smoke spreed situation and distribution of smoke temperature, CO density and visibility at risk hight in different scenes were given. In nature-eject condition, the effect of fire source and smoke safety wall were simulated.The research also work on position of fire source, smoke eject velocity and the area of smoke eject, and the overall effect of these factors was deduced. ASET was determined on the basis of analysis of the fire simulation. Finally, REST was calculated by the Togawa experience formula, safety evacuation was judged.
