The development of civil engineering is depending on the research of new material and new structure. This article is mainly on the experimental research of FRP tube steel high-strength concrete column under axial compress.With the widely used of FRP in engineering, the research on FRP is more and more deeply. In nowadays, FRP is mainly used to reinforce the original structure, the use on new structure is not too much. For further research, this article introduces the composite of FRP first, then confine the identity and engineering application. This article analysis the research situation in home and abroad to find the rute for further research. This article introduces the steel-concrete structure which is one important part of composite structure with the new material of FRP.The FRP used in the experiment is GFRP tube. The experimental research is mainly on the thickness, the digree of fiber, the loading manner, steel and so on. Some inclusion can get from the speciamen destruction phenomenen and experiment diagram.In order to relate the theory to the experiment, this article adopts ultimate balance method and composite method to calculate the capacity of the specimen. The formulars from the two different methods are same in the form. But the calculation results are something different. The reasons to the different result are made in the article.The experiment is mainly about the short column with the length diameter riation of 3. In order to know about the stress capacity of mid-long column, this article adopts tanglal module method to calculate the stability loading of mid-long column.This formular to calculate the capacity of FRP tube is simple and widely used, it can calculate the FRP tube steel concrete column capacity.
