The valve is an absolutely necessary control mechanism used in transportation of fluids by the pipe network, and it is widely used in petroleum,chemical industry,electric plant,exploitation of ocean base oil and nuclear industry. With the development of industries, it is not only the simple start stop but the opening and flux control for controling the valve. The traditional mechanical adjusting means by hand can not be satisfied with lots of occasions, there are many disadvantages in function and use such as huge equipments,illogical machine matching,low control precision,bad security and lack of perfect fault handling and alarm device, at the same time, it is difficult to carry out man-machine conversation and demarcate and maintain very well on the spot, it makes against the renovation of valve products. The new brainpower valve electric actuator has been produced in order to improve the control capability of valves and pipe system and increase the control level of industrial automation system.With the development of microelectronic technique,power electronic technology,microcomputer control technique and mechanics of communication and so on, the new brainpower electric valve has been produced by research and development of many factories abroad for a long time. The new procuct has plenty of new functions and enlarged application domain, its all kinds of targets and capabilities are improved, so it is used in industry widely. The new brainpower electric valve actuator has more advantages comparing with the old one, such as agile and convenient use, compact structure and excellent control capability, convenient human-computer interaction and network control. It is satisfied with industrial management automation and intelligentization.This topic is one cooperative project between Northeastern University and Tieling valve factory. The controller of valve electric actuator is studied mostly. The new brainpower controller of valve electric actuator is developed in terms of effective experiences based on deeply and detailedly contrasting and analyzing existing valve electric actuators and their controllers at home and abroad. Its main control part is singlechip AT89C55WD. The system functions include frequency control,valve position control,realtime display,valve state monitoring,fault diagnosis and failure protection and so on.The total project design of valve electric actuator is made according to the design discipline of security,reliability,convenience and advanced, at the same time, the research and development of the whole system control are carried out based on it.
