With the development of the economy and architecture technique, there is more and more high-rise building. Their fire risk is more serious than general building because of many floors, big cubage and centralized people. During recent years, the fire risk of high-rise building is received more and more attention. So it is necessary to prevent and control fire accident effectively by assessing the fire risk of high-rise building.According to the character of the high-rise building fire, this paper analyzes its occurring, developing and spreading, applies two hazards theory to identify the fire hazard and analyze its danger and adopts Cause and Effect to analyze the influence factors in the high-rise building. It establishes the index system of fire risk for high-rise building from initiative fireproofing system, passivity fireproofing system, safety evacuating system, fire fighting safety management and the other and calculates the weight of every index. This index system can well reflect the fire risk state of high-rise building. It is proved the feasibility of fuzzy comprehensive assessment on fire risk of high-rise building. Then this paper applies fuzzy pattern recognition model with the least summation of weighted generalized distance in fuzzy comprehensive assessment, sets up the fire risk assessment model of high-rise building based on the fuzzy pattern recognition and brings in fuzzy characteristic quantity of safety grade to deal with the assessment result of fire risk for high-rise building. At last, after this method stated above is applied in some hotel in Xi'an, it gets the risk grade of this high-rise building and gives some corresponding measure for existent problem. It is practical that this research can provide available gist for performance-based fire protection design and safety management, then predict and prevent fire accident.
