Therapeutic Effect Of Licorice Total Flavonoid Suspension Breast Injection On Dairy Cow Mastitis

The glycyrrhiza flavonoid suspension breast injections is pure Chinese medicine for thetreatment of bovine mastitis by Jilin University pharmacology laboratory independentlydeveloped and it is in line with the quality standard draft。The research aims to demonstrate thesafety and the good effect for clinical mastitis of the glycyrrhiza flavonoid suspension breastinjections。The study includes:Bacteriostasis activity in vitro was observed by tube double dilution.Thesafety was investigated by temperature sensitivity,haemolyticus,irritation,,sensitization,the acutetoxicity and udder irritation.80dairy cows with clinical mastitis were selected for the test,thetreatment was Chinese medicine by low,medium and high dose groups,the control group ofantibiotics,once1d,5d in conjunction,then by comparing the cure and efficiency rate of eachgroup to determine the clinical dose of suspension.60dairy cows with clinical mastitis for theexpanded clinical test,the somatic cell in milk,the lactation,the SOD,GSH-PX,SA,LDH,NAGasein whey and the SOD,GSH-PX,NO,MDA in serum were measured during cure.The results of antibacterial test show that:the antibacterial activity of the glycyrrhiza flavonoidsuspension on Staphylococcus aureus,Streptococcus agalactiaewere stronger,and their MIC,MBC respective reached19.53μg／mL、4.88μg／mL,the MIC of the antibacterial activity of theglycyrrhiza flavonoid suspension on Escherichia coli was625.00μg／mL.The results of the safety test show that: The source of Chinese medicine in line with theprovision of the Pharmacopoeia;the Chinese medicine do not cause skin allergies and is a weakallergen; the stimulation index was less than2; acute toxicity in mice were basically non-toxicsubstances;there were no differences on the health effects of udder stimulation and injection ofnormal saline（P>0.05）; the results showed that the injection was in line with the use of animalsafety.The results of the screening dose test:The cure rate of Chinese medicine treatment20ml groupand40ml group and antibiotics group were86.00%,89.36%and86.54%,then the differencesbetween the three groups were not significant（P>0.05）,the efficiency of the three groups were90.00%,93.62%and94.23%respectively (P>0.05). The negative rate of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae,E. coli bacteria andmixed bacteria were70.00%,100.00%,28.57%and50.00%respectively,the total negative ratewas69.04%, there no difference between the three groups（P>0.05）.The results of the expanded clinical efficacy test show that: The cure rate of the Chinesemedicine treatment group and antibiotics group were87.17%、86.84%, and the effective powerwere97.44%,93.42%;the SCC of Chinese medicine treatment group restore to the health valueafter treating,but the SCC of antibiotics group were significantly higher than the health value（P＜0.05）; the lactation of Chinese medicine treatment group return to normal in five days later（P>0.05）;the activity of the SOD and GSH-PX in whey and serum increased significantly（P＜0.05or P<0.01）, the content of SA,LDH,NAGase, NO and MDAin whey or serum decreasedsignificantly（P＜0.05or P<0.01）.The studys suggest that: The glycyrrhiza flavonoid suspension breast injections was in linewith the use of animal safety.It can repair damaged the breast tissue effectively and is effective tothe clinical mastitis.
