One-day-old HaiSai chickens were inoculated intraperitoneously with virulent Mareks Disease Virus(vMDV) and Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B(SEB) at this experiment. The chickens were divided into SH group(inoculation with higher dose SEB), SL group(inoculation with lower dose SEB), M group(inoculation with vMDV) and C group(controls) in order to conduct the comparion study. The T-lymphocyte proliferative activity of chicken tyumus,sp!een and blood, and the inductive activity of interleukin- 1(1 L- I) of thymic cells, splenic cells and medullary macrophage were determined by using MTT method at 1,5,10,15,20 and 25 days postinoculation (DPI).Meanwhile, the number of leucocytes and lymphocytes of peripheral blood were measured. The purpose is to reveal the regulations of the T-lymphocyte proliferation and the rules of the inductive activity of IL-I in chickens inoculated with vMDV and SEB, as well as to provide theories and experiment evidence for preventing MD.The results are as follows: The T-lymphocyte proliferative activity, and the number of leucocytes and lymphocytes of peripheral blood of chickens in the SH group increased significantly in a short time, and then decreased quickly and were lower than the normal level. However, that of the SL group was only less higher than the controls in early days compared with the SH group. Both the SH group and the SL group were colse to the normal level gradually at anaphase. These indicate that the effect of SEB on T-lymphocyte is nearly related to the dose of SEB.The I-lymphocyte of chickens can be largely stimulated with a dose of SEB in a short time. Therefore, the cellular immune function of chicken is enhanced. For various lymphoid organs , SEB will cause different influnces on the inductive activity of IL-i of chicken immunocyte.SEB may increase the inductive activity of IL-I of marrow macrophage heavily in a short time, and this reflect indirectly that SEB plays a role on enhancement of chicken non-specific immune function. 2. The I-lymphocyte proliferative activity, and the number of leucocytes and lymphocytes of peripheral blood of chickens in the M group were lower or significantly lower than the normal level during other times, except that were higher or significantly higher than the controls in early days(about 5th day);the inductive activity of IL-I was lower or significantly lower than the controls after 5 DPI.The results show that the immune functionwill be hampered after the chicken is inoculated with vMDVand that is in favor of the copiesand proliferation ofvMDV in body and the development oftUmour at anaphase.Toghter, the above-mentioned results show that both vMDV and SEB may result in theproliferation of chicken T-lymphocyte in a short time, and suggest that there are similarmechanisIns on the effect of vMDV and SEB on the proliferation of T-lymphocyte.SEB maystrengthen the inductive activity of lL-1 of marrow macrophage heavily in a short time, butvMDV may restrain the production of IL-1 of macrophage. This indicates that the mechanismsof the I L- l induction are different betWeen infection with vMDV and inoculation with SEB.Inaddition,tl1ere are differences among various lymphoid organs.
