STUDIES ON THE INDUCTION OF CALLUS AND MULTIPROPAGATION IN Actinidia Chinesis ON WUZHI.No: 2

Actinidia chinesis Planch. C V. WUZHI.No: 2 is one of the improved early-maturing varieties screened by the plant research institute of WUHAN.It's fruits which are very nourishing and agreeable to the taste have moderate size and high yield. For this reason, its reproduction is studied.Tissue culture on female plant of Actinidia chinesis Planch. C V. WUZHI.No: 2 with all kinds of exocarp is studied primarily. Axillary buds have been induced from yearly shoot cutting in culture on Actinidia chinesis Planch. C V. WUZHI.No: 2 that will increase the speed of propagation. The exocarp of A. chinesis Planch. C V. WUZHI.No: 2 can be easily induced dedifferentiation,but it is very difficult for the callus to differentiate.The optimal medium for inducing axillary buds is : MS+sucrose2.5%+agar0.8%+6-BA 1.5mg/L+IAA0.5mg/L, the rate is 65.2%.The optimal medium for inducing dedifferentiation is: MS+sucrose2.5%+agar0.8%+6-BA 2.5mg/L+IAA0.5mg/L , and the rate can get to 100%; The better medium is: MS+sucrose2.5%+agar0.8%+6-BA 2.0mg/L+IAA0.5mg/L, and the rate is 75.3%.Actinidia chinesis Planch. C V. WUZHI.No: 2 is so fruitful that it can make the people who live in the mountain area off poverty.
